Hairy came to ARF from Aurora Animal Control as a stray.  He is a youngster, maybe 1 year old, but still very puppyish in his love of greeting people and animals.  He likes to be the instigator and likes to play.  Hairy enjoys a good game of fetch!  He has learned "sit" and "paw" while with ARF.  Hairy loves to curl up in a lap and nap; he also likes the vantage point of being a bit higher than the floor.  Hairy is a Chinese Crested male, miniature dog size, about 15 pounds, and he is in good shape with health.  This breed is nearly hairless except for head, paws and tail, so needs sunscreen in summer and coats or sweaters in winter.  Hairy does not seem to care much if he is stylish (although he is rocking that tutu!), just so he can have fun and be close to you.  He will be a great, lively companion with tons of love for his human.

Hairy is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered.  He is very close to being reliable in housetraining; you will need to work on it a bit, especially as he comes into a new environment.  He is almost 100% potty pad trained, and about 80% housetrained.  His foster expects this to improve with warmer weather.   His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
