At 15+lbs at 6-1/2 weeks (date posted up on line on 4-23)., this litter of 9 Great Dane pups--5 F, 4 M (parents photo's are posted as well to see them as adults, mom laying down, dad sitting)  are growing quickly.  They seem to grow overnight and it is tough to keep up with their food intake.  They are extraordinarily well socialized to humans of all sizes, dogs of all sizes, and they think that the resident cats are puppies and try to wrestle them.  Some of the resident cats will put up with it for a while, most just hop up on counter and glare at them.  They are trying to house break themselves but at this age the are eating 4, sometimes 5 times a day and it makes it hard to make enough time to let that many dogs out that many times a day (we take out every 2 hours to help them get in the mode of always going outside.)  They love beating up on their stuffed dog toys, playing tug of war with each over, wrestling with each other.  Great dogs, great temperments--can't wait to see them grown up.

The pups are micro-chipped, will have their first set of puppy hots, dewormed, and at least halfway house trained.  Their new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing which they will need to start at 4 months of age.  They will also need to be spayed by 6 months of age, ARF does supply a discounted vet certificate. Their adoption fee is $600. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting one of these cuddlers, please fill out an online application today! http://arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.  Due to the high level of interest for these pups, foster mom must have approved application before any questions can be answered.  Don't hesitate, even with approved app you are under no obligation to adopt pup, nine pups may seem like a bunch but the applications are starting to fly in.
