Meet Waylon, a beautiful 9 week old Saint Bernard/Golden mixed breed puppy. Waylon is the bruiser big boy of the litter at 8lbs and climbing. He is learning the joys of toys, starting to work on housebreaking; learning basic commands and beginning leash walking; although at this stage it’s more like leash licking, leash rolling, leash chewing…

Waylon's mom Goldie and her nine pups came to ARF from a high kill shelter in Southern Illinois where they were inexplicably surrendered by their owner. Fortunately a volunteer with ARF pulled the litter to safety in rescue, narrowly avoiding their destruction. A local rescue stepped up for three of the pups and the rest of the family headed for the western suburbs of Chicago and their foster homes.  This beautiful, healthy family was so happy to have fresh water, clean food and warm beds to sleep in; thrilled to be in their foster homes and out of that dangerous environment. The majority of the puppies have been adopted, but Waylon and his brother Brad (also on the site) are still looking for their forever homes!

Waylon is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations.  His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Waylon's adoption fee is $250.
