Come meet Jake from 5 pm Saturday, 4/14, thru 5 pm Sunday, 4/15, at the Barking Lot 24 Hr. Adopt-a-thon in Wheaton! Submit your application now and bring the whole family and current pet(s)!!

Jake is a young 10-12 month old shepherd mix. He is super sweet, very affectionate, loving, non-dominant boy. He gets along well with other dogs and pretty much ignores cats. He loves to play with Fred his foster brother, a Bassett Hound mix, for hours on end! When they are done, they come inside and want to snuggle and cuddle for a while; Jake is a great family dog!

Jake has a story:

He was an "oops" dog-ARF met transport to pick up the dogs pulled from various kill shelters and there was Jake. Happily he was saved from euthanasia by being put on transport to Chicago, but he had no one here that had pulled him. He had no where to go but back to the kill shelter he came from-ARF couldn't let this happen and took him along with everyone else that they had pulled.
