About Callie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn with White

Are you addicted to love?  Then we have just the puppy for you.  Introducing, Callie, the love bug beagle mix puppy!

Callie, her sister Gracie and their Momma, were surrendered to ARF from a family in western Illinois who lost their home and could no longer care for their companions.  Knowing how disturbing of a situation this is for any family we were happy to help by keeping the puppy family out of the local high kill shelter.  We took them into rescue, got them up to speed medically and physically, and are now home fostering them until they find their forever families.

Callie, is a typical baby puppy, full of fun and amazement at her world.  She is 8 to 9 weeks old, a bit larger than her sister at approximately 7# and expected to be a small to medium size dog when she grows up.  Her coat is a silky white with brown and black accented splotches, she has beautiful brown eyes contrasted by her tiny black nose.  Callie is a confident puppy and very happy to be in her foster home with her baby sister Gracie.  The girls are enjoying clean and plentiful water, good food, a warm bed and plenty of puppy toys.  In return they love to eagerly greet their foster parents; looking to share a kiss and showing us all their gratitude in their loving eyes.

Callie is getting used to plentiful toys, rawhide bones, her foster sisters and brother, kittens and THAT cat.  She is the snuggliest girl, keeping an eye out for her foster Dad to jump into his lap, making a nest in the bed before curling up to sleep and looking for that shoulder to dream on.  She adores her people, she will leave food and drink at the opportunity for cuddling, kissing and gently chewing fingers or ear.  She loves her foster sisters and brother and does not let the size factor stop her from playing, running and chasing with them.  She has learned her foster kitten brothers make good wrestling companions and are the perfect size for her to practice on.  And she’s learned to steer clear of THAT cat, THAT one does not like puppy play, even though it smells just like her kittens. Callie also has cornered the market on intoxicating puppy breath and big puppy eyes.  She working on housebreaking, up to date on her medicals, manicure, pedicure and spa bath, and has been micro chipped.  She is waiting patiently for her forever home, where she can be cherished as she cherishes you.

So, are you the right family for our Callie?  If you feel you are fill out an online adoption form.   We will get the process started and contact you for an appointment to meet her when approval is granted.  All adopters are required to spay at an appropriate age and enroll their companion in a positive reinforcement family dog class of their choice.  Her adoption fee is $225.00.  Callie will make personal appearances at the ARF Adoption Events sponsored by our rescue partners at various ARF function locations.  See our events page for places, dates and times.

Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/

As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop!
