Ingrid is an outgoing 14 week black Lab mix, currently at about 18#, and is expected to grow up to be a big girl. This delightful package of puppy has warm liquid brown eyes; a gorgeous black, silky coat and feet too big for her to know what to do with. ARF rescued Ingrid from a high kill shelter where her time was up and she was due to be euthanized. That would have been a tragedy as one look into her intelligent and trusting eyes will prove. Ingrid is getting used to being squeaky clean and good smelling, compliments of “The Spotted Paw” at Danada West. Her foster family is showing her what regular meals, fresh water, warm puppy beds and toys, toys, toys are and she’s enjoying every bit of it. She has a great attitude, cheerily meeting everyone at the gate hoping for a kiss or cuddle, and leading into a game, any game, your choice or hers, just so long as we play. Ingrid loves to argue over squeak toys and rawhides with her foster sisters and brother; to explore anywhere and anything with in her reach and to roll and pounce with the kittens. Ingrid loves her foster kittens and heartily encourages the brothers to bat tasty things off the counter to her, and to bring her their forbidden kitten toys, much to her foster Mom’s dismay. Ingrid is a total hit with the neighborhood kids, whether the game is them chasing her or her chasing them, or if there are balls to run after in the kitchen or back yard. And when she’s tired, she is a typical baby, wanting to snuggle with her big foster sister, or one of her foster parents, dreaming of her future and forever home and the lucky family she can share it with. Ingrid is working on housebreaking and learning to use papers laid out for this purpose. She sleeps quietly in her kennel at night after a short period of fussing. She has been fully vetted, micro chipped and her adoption fee is $225.00. All adopters are required to enroll their companion in family dog class; we expect that Ingrid will be head of the class with her intelligence and desire to please. Her adopting family is required to spay at an appropriate age. If you feel you are the right family for our Ingrid girl fill out an online adoption form. We will get the process started and contact you for an appointment to meet her when approval is granted. Ingrid will make personal appearances at the ARF Adoption Events, sponsored by our rescue partners at various ARF function locations. See our events page for places, times and dates. She is also available to meet approved adopters outside of our adoption events by appointment. More about IngridGood with Dogs, Good with Kids

Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.
