Neno is a happy, high-spirited boy-also very affectionate, but not overbearing about it. He loves to chase a ball if you'll throw it for him, and after building a little trust with you, he'll even bring it right back to you to throw it again.  He's great with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, though he does not like pushy male dogs getting in his face. 

Neno's foster parents think because he lived outdoors on a chain, there's a big bunch of extra fur around his neck.  He was horribly neglected and his collar became embedded into his skin, leaving a big scar and an overgrowth of the skin and fur around it.  It doesn't bother him now, but we think it's a reminder that he wasn't treated well at all.  He makes sure to come to his protectors and growl and grumble to let them know that something is scaring him and he needs reassurance. 

Neno is very smart and eager to please.  He is just learning the joys of playtime with toys and kindness.  His dream is to be someone's cherished best friend.  Because he needs a home where he will feel safe and will always be treated with kindness in order to trust, he will only be adopted to an adult-only home.
