Paige is a beautiful black and tan 4 month old Shepard mix estimated to be about 22# currently.   Paige came to ARF from a high kill shelter in Indiana with her friend Phoebe where the girls within hours of being put down.  Paige can be a bit shy at first but warms up quickly and loves to sit in her foster Mom’s lap when she comes home from work at the end of the day.  Paige goes into her kennel at night with only a slight complaint and settles down quickly.

Paige came to us as a very scared, wary puppy and has been blossoming ever since she discovered that there are people that care about her and will take care of her.  She will need a family with patience to show her that not all folk are unkind to pups.  She is getting used to regular meals, clean water, warm puppy beds and toys, toys, toys and is amazed at the abundance of same in her foster home.  She dreams of meeting her future and forever family, settling into home life with them and forgetting her poor start.

Paige loves to argue over squeak toys and rawhides with her foster sisters and tussle on the floor with them.  She adores her full size German Shepard foster sister but does not care for the cats in the household.  Paige plays well with the neighborhood kids, but is shy with strangers that she hasn’t learned to trust yet.  It does not take long to earn her trust and Paige likes to give puppy kisses in exchange for your patience with her.  She thrives on your attention.

Paige is working hard on her housebreaking.  She has been fully vetted, micro chipped and her adoption fee is $225.00.  All adopters are required to enroll their companion in family dog class and to spay at an appropriate age.  If you feel you are the right family for our Paige girl fill out an online adoption form.  We will get the process started and contact you for an appointment to meet her when approval is granted.
