About Felicia

Pixie is a 5-6 year old survivor of the puppy mills. She is a red, Dauschhund, female. She was used for breeding purposes until she had served out her usefulness to "breeder". Fortunately, the breeder had a bit of heart to him/her and allowed Pixie to go to a rescue instead of the more common fate of mill dogs at the end of their breeding life--death. She is very petite, very underweight--though that is slowly changing, and she is becoming more and more used to kind human touch. She is still very shy and would like a quiet home with a patient parent who will allow her the time to develop into the real dog she was meant to be. She does like to lay next to you on the sofa but is not as of yet thrilled with the whole being picked up thing though. She has been spayed, vaccinated, normal blood panel run and all she needs now is good nutrition to help her gain weight.
