Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/
Hailey is a sweet, petite, funny, young Border Collie. She is a typical puppy-although she is almost one year old--loves to play and is extremely affectionate. She loves to chew on rawhides, plushie toys, your socks if you leave them on the floor but is learning to be redirected to appropriate chew toys and is helping train her foster parents into picking up their socks, etc. and put them in the hamper where they belong. :-) She wants to belong to a family and will be your shadow. She loves to snuggle and give kisses. She plays well with non-dominant dogs (really dominant dogs kind of scare her if they try to play too rough.) Tolerates cats well. Rides well in the car. Even though she isn't crazy hyper for a Border Collie, she does need daily exercise--so if you are looking for a running partner, someone to do agility with--she is the girl for you. While she loves children, she would do best in a home with children over 6 years of age, as she will herd young children and toddlers into corners--typical of the breed--she is corralling your "sheep" for you. She is a favorite of the rescue and we are looking for an active, fabulous, forever home for this special girl. More about HaileyGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are
based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events. Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop! |
