Balto is an approximately 4 month old male husky puppy who weighs in at 28 pounds.  He came to ARF as part of a large puppy mill rescue.  He is cute as can be and learning all things puppy!  

He likes to play with other dogs though he can be shy at first and is working on potty training. Huskies are a high energy, intelligent breed so a fenced yard is recommended along with regular physical and mental exercise. Balto nibbles on hands like most pups but is quickly learning it's more fun to chew on his toys instead. He already knows to sit for treats and is learning other new things every day.

Balto enjoys sleeping in his crate but he also has the run of the house while the humans are home to supervise, and he's doing well with not chewing on stuff or having accidents. He loves getting pats from his fosters and will lay on the couch to relax when invited. Fill out an application and come meet this cutie!

This pup is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered.  The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  The pup's adoption fee is $400.  Please note ARF does not approve applications for any puppy under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting this pup fill out an online application today!  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.  ARF is an all volunteer organization.  Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved.  Thank you for your patience!
