Bingo is a beautiful 2-year-old Australian Shepherd who weighs 55 pounds. He is affectionate and loves to run, retrieve balls, and chase the laser pointer. Bingo does not tear up household items, does not need to be crated, and sleeps through the night. He pulls somewhat when walking on a leash but can be managed with consistent, firm commands. Bingo is very intelligent, knowing sit and down.

Like most Aussies, Bingo is high energy and needs a job, whether it be participating in agility trials, dock diving, or guarding sheep. Since he has no sheep to guard in Du Page County, Bingo protects and herds other dogs and his family, and is calmer in a home without dogs or children he must worry about. Bingo will make a great companion to someone who understands the needs of his specific breed.

Bingo has expressed his feelings by barking, growling and teeth baring in various situations, particularly when prohibited from herding his “flock”. This behavior has diminished as he becomes more comfortable in his foster home.

However, situations where Bingo feels compelled to assert his aggression and dominance should be avoided.  He would do best in a house without children (under 12) and probably one without other dogs.

Bingo is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered.  His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.

Bingo's adoption fee is $400.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Bingo fill out an Online Application today!
