Miss Ya-Ya is a 2-3 year old BichaPoo female, self-professed, Queen. She is everything you could want; funny, playful, friendly with dogs and cats. She likes to sleep in the human's bed and dances for treats and meals. She is also afraid of people in general. She has come a long way since she came to A.R.F. as a rescue from a commercial puppy mill. Other dogs are her comfort and security. Ya-Ya needs an understanding, patient & quiet home with another dog and a fenced yard. 

When she arrived, Ya-Ya could not be touched or even caught. She shivered if a human looked at her. Today, she understands her routines and will reluctantly allow humans to pick her up and hold her (with the help of some licks of Ricotta cheese). She loves treats and dances when she is excited and happy. She both goes outside and uses piddle pads for pottying pretty reliably. Ya-Ya has a safe-space where she can retreat when she feels unsafe which helps her greatly. She enjoys a nice, soft dog bed that she can sink into when she is out in the common areas with humans. She is so smart that she figured out that, if another dog is in her favorite dog bed she can bark and the dogs will all get up to bark, leaving her favorite bed open for the taking. She is a doll and entertains her foster humans daily. Seeing her transformation has been heartwarming, and we hope for a furever home that will continue to patiently introduce Ya-Ya to even more love and happiness.

Only homes that meet the following requirements will be considered:

• No apartments;
• Has a friendly companion dog for Ya-Ya;
• Uses only positive training;
• Has a fenced yard; and
• No children under 10 years old.

Ya-Ya is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations and spayed.  Ya-Ya's adoption fee is $500.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Ya-Ya fill out an Online Application today!

Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early!
