Chocolate Labrador Retriever (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Large
Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/
Pancake is an 18-month old house trained chocolate lab who weighs in at 64 pounds. He is very shy and calm and not at all aggressive with people or animals. Pancake takes time to warm up to new people. Any applicant who comes to meet Pancake should be prepared that he may be afraid of them, and won’t want to interact initially. Applicants may have to come meet him several times, so he can get used to them. Once Pancake knows you, he is a lovely sweet boy. He will fetch a ball, he likes treats, he will put his big head into your lap to be pet. Pancake would love to have his own family to love and care for. Pancake would do well with another dog in the house. He's good with other dogs and cats – but like any dog, needs to be introduced to new animals slowly and with care. Pancake gets excited when in the company of other dogs. If he is the only dog in the home, Pancake will be more of a calm, serious dog. He is fearful of loud noises but is getting over this with time. Pancake would love to have a fenced yard to run around in, but that is not required. Pancake would do well in doggy day care, being able to spend time with other dogs during the day, and learn to be more outgoing. Pancake loves to be outside, and go for walks. Pancake is micro-chipped, house trained, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Pancake's adoption fee is $300. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Pancake fill out an online application today! http://arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an A.R.F. volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting. Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are
based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events. Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop! |
